StephanieStephanie Sigman is a Mexican American actress. Her breakout role was in Miss Bala (2011), a Mexican crime-drama film. She also appeared in Pioneer (2013) and Spectre (2015). In television, Sigman starred in Narcos (2015) and S.W.A.T (2017) for the first and second seasons of both shows. Sigman was born in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico as the daughter of her Mexican mother and an American father, Lee Sigman, a New York Yankees scout from Kansas. Through her father, Sigman is a U.S. citizen. His brother, the baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman, was previously engaged to actress Barbara Mori Sigman began her career in the field of Mexican TV before making her debut on film in Rio de Oro. In 2011 she was cast in the lead character in the film Laura Guerrero in the Mexican crime drama film, Miss Bala. [6] The film was selected as the Mexican entry in the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 84th Academy Awards.[7][8] However, it was not on the final list. [9] Sigman was nominated for the Dublin Film Critics Circle Award in 2011, for her role in film.
